Our Philosophy - We believe that children are a gift from God, and that they need a loving, nurturing environment in which to grow and develop. We believe that young children learn best through play and hands-on free choice type activities, along with a developmental program that meets the emotional, social, academic, physical, and spiritual needs of the child.

We believe in letting "children be children". We believe in promoting self-control in children which comes from a lot of practice in decision making.

License

We are licensed by the State of Michigan, and we comply with all the requirements for the operation of a child care center; ages six weeks through twelve years.

Discipline

We believe in using a positive approach when disciplining the children. We encourage them to develop self-control, to become self-directed, to treat others with respect, and to obey. If a problem develops, the teacher will talk with the child, and perhaps give him a "time out" away from the other children. We do not use physical punishments, such as spankings. Please note: Discipline policy packet provided in your family packet.

Communication

You will be made aware of your child's classroom schedule, activities, field trips, and various other items of interest through periodical newsletters, reminders on entrance door, as well as daily communication with your child's teachers.

inkcartridges.png
Did you know that over 275 million ink cartridges are thrown away each year! It is time to recycle! So it is with GREAT enthusiasm that Bethany Child Care requests your FREE support to our funding alternative called ETCEP otherwise known as Education Technology and Conservation Exchange Program. ETCEP provides an opportunity for preschools and their communities to save empty laser, inkjet and fax cartridges in exchange for 5000 free hardware, educational software and playground equipment. BCC has been involved in this program since January 2001 and we have been very successful in collection of these empty cartridges due to the BCC parents and staff and Bethany Assembly of God. All money earned goes towards new equipment for the children of BCC.  Your support of the ETCEP Program will help teach our children that recycling makes dollars and sense. Perhaps more important, your support will provide greatly to our children at BCC. We welcome your questions, support and cartridges. Thank you in advance for your participation. Please drop off items to BCC outside the office in the green container marked "Cartridges".
